Variety Club

Variety Club

Variety Club (children’s charity) is a step forward in the quest to raise funds for South Australia’s special kids. Variety’s character is to look after sick, disabled or disadvantaged children, and is currently establishing regional committees throughout SA. The advent of these committees will allow the distribution of funds in the region they are raised.

Reidy Park Primary School board

This popular centrally located public school educates many local children through their primary years from reception through to grade 7.

Bonsai Society

A Society dedicated to the growth, enjoyment and appreciation of Bonsai.

Gambier Centrals Soccer Club

As a branch of Sports Club Holland, this highly successful soccer club caters for all levels of players, members and spectators. On any winter Sunday you may see a future Socceroo, with children from as young as 5 years old running their little hearts out while parents cheer them on. That enthusiasm continues through the senior grades along with a very competitive spirit making for a very entertaining Sunday afternoon. Encouraging family involvement, soccer is not only an excellent active pass-time for the community’s children.

Lower South East Hockey Association

Lower South East Hockey Association

As an association proudly bringing the lower south east of South Australia together, hockey is enjoyed at all ages. As a regional sporting facility catering for teams from Portland, Penola, Naracoorte & Mount Gambier games are played from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. Producing homegrown heroes, LSEHA can boast players achieving Olympic status.

Western Border Football & Netball League

As a league, Western border brings some of the best football and netball together from South East South Australia and South West Victoria. Combined together is the football & netball catering for teams from Millicent, Mount Gambier, Portland, Hamilton, Heywood and Casterdon. Played on Saturdays the league caters for most ages. Football from under 14’s to A grade and netball from under 12’s to A grade. Producing great young talent across the south east and over the border this league is up there with some of the best competition in the states.

Blue Lake Multicultural Festival

Blue Lake Multicultural Festival

The Blue Lake Multicultural festival is held once a year in Mount Gambier. The festival celebrates the diversity of Australians and culminates in an appreciation of the different backgrounds, which makes Australia so unique. The festival brings splashes of colours and explosive energy with some fantastic performances. Run over a weekend period this festival is enjoyed by all ages.

Federals Baseball Club

This local club provides a great competitive influence towards the sport. Competing with teams from the lower South East and Western Victoria including Portland, Millicent and Mount Gambier Federals baseball is a fantastic sport for all ages. Varying from Under 12’s through to div 3,2 and 1, games are played from Fridays to Sunday either in the evenings or during the day. Becoming one of the stronger teams in the South East Federals have developed well over time.

Tonic Health club is a relatively new gym, which provides many services. With there friendly staff they get you excited about going to the gym. Offering a variety of fitness programs including body pump, rpm cycling, body balance, body combat, body attack, body jam, body step, yoga, pilates, active moves & tonic box you won’t be bored with the same old stuff. Also involved with therapy and remedical massage, and including Kids playrooms. Tonic is the one gym for everyone.
